Following completion of his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech, Edgar Rodriguez left his hometown of El Paso to venture west to the sunshine and beaches of southern California. Over the following several years, he earned his Masters of Architecture from the New School of Architecture and Design in San Diego. While he enjoyed the sandy beaches and temperate weather, he moved back to Texas to further his career at Gensler Architects in Houston. There, he built a substantial portfolio, informed his professional practice and lead architecturally-driven community outreach and events, including a formative project that helped Hurricane Harvey victims rebuild/redesign their lives back home when flood water finally receded. In efforts toward furthering his field experience, he traded Houston’s heat for Montana’s mountains and accepted a position as project engineer for a millworker at the Yellowstone Club. He now joins the Bechtle team with a wealth of expertise and an unexpected love for Montana.
An artist at heart, Rodriguez spends his free time dreaming up new art and furniture projects to keep his creativity and his practice nimble. And, tapping his adventurous personality and keeping his horizons mountainous, Rodriguez can be found biking and exploring the Gallatin Valley with his Australian Shepard Me-Ya when he’s not hard at work.
