Scott Bechtle designed Village Center One while at another firm. He was retained by Boyne to design the exterior plaza and assist the owner during construction of the facility. This mixed-use building included multiple levels of residential condos and a ground floor retail area built into the base of the ski hill. The mountain side of the ground level ski in/ski out residential units has direct access to a large heated pool and hot tub, while the plaza side features a large deck to socialize and view plaza activities.
The rooms were developed as entertaining business suites and vacation rental units. A bridge connection was also designed to connect to the future Bank Lodge project, which did not proceed due to the economic downturn in the mid-2000s.
