The Nye residence consists of multiple buildings creating a homestead for the family. Over a period of five years, Bechtle Architects’ Ben Elias and owner Edie Madden, who was also the general contractor, worked closely to successfully design and construct a series of buildings orientated to maximize views, minimize weather exposure, and meld seamlessly into the landscape.
