The owner’s vision was to renovate and augment Alpine Orthopedics with a two-surgery suite orthopedic surgery center. Designed to look like part of the original building, the Center was made small enough to avert a full site plan submittal with the City, but large enough to accommodate all the requirements of a state-of-the-art, fully functional ambulatory surgery center.
The Bechtle team guided the project through the City processes, while working with the owner’s medical planner, equipment suppliers, and operations staff to fit the project into the limited 5,700 square feet adjacent to their orthopedic office that remained in operation throughout the build. A comprehensive team comprised of medical engineers and interiors, structural and civil engineers, and Bechtle architects worked in a design build role with Langlas & Associates to provide the project design in six months and construction in a mere eight.
